Plot
Aki, a legal secretary, is in a relationship with Shinji, a trainee lawyer. Disliking the idea of being tied down, she gives a vague response when Shinji proposes marriage. Her father, Teiji, worries constantly about his daughter, who is of marriageable age, while her mother, Yoko, is obsessed with overseas travel and shows little interest in the family. One day, Aki’s older brother, Kazuhiko, and his wife, Yuko, arrive asking to stay for a while because their apartment has burned down...
