Zahira "Sotto" Saccenti
Zahira (she/they) is a non-binary trans artist from Brazil, with a bachelor’s degree in Film from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC). They directed their first short film in 2022, “Esse Assunto Dá Canja”, and have since dedicated their career to film production and post-production, working primarily in directing, producing, on-set sound recording, and sound editing and mixing. Her main works include the film “Neon Cats”, in which she directed and, also, was the first project she worked on to be awarded public financial support; “Sangue de Lobo, Pele de Cordeiro” (2025), her most recent directorial work and her final-year project in college; and “Nós Costumávamos Crescer” (2025), her first feature film, on which she worked on sound editing, mixing, and post-production finalization. Occasionally, she also takes on cameos and makes appearances as an actress in films, both as part of the cast and in voice-over and dubbing roles, so you might well spot her on screens around the world!
